Yes, you can place a sell order by choosing the Product Type as Intraday or Cover. However, such Sell positions need to be squared-off at a specified time prescribed by ASL.

Yes, a single cash sell order can be placed for the shares held in the multiple Demat Accounts. In order to place a single cash sell order, you have to place a Cash hold on the scrip from each Demat Account.

To buy, you should have sufficient money in your Bank account from where you can mark a cash hold on the funds and place the buy orders . Alternatively, you can also buy shares by using the sales proceeds generated by selling of the shares.

NLV = TAV +/- Notional Profit (loss) on your Option positions +/- Notional Profit (loss) on your Future positions

Where, Future Notional Profit (loss) = Net quantity * (Last Traded Price - Average Transaction Price or the last settlement price as the case may be)

Option Notional Profit (loss) = Net quantity * (Current Option Premium price - Average Transaction Price or the last settlement price as the case may be)

Is it possible that an order is accepted by the exchange but a trade does not take place against it?

Yes, it is possible. For every order (buy/sell), there should be a opposite order (sell in case of buy and vice versa) on the other side. Trading works on demand and supply matching theory. If the demand does not match supply or vice versa, or if the rate at which the order is placed does not find a match in the exchange, the trade will not take place.

Till the time the order does not get executed, order status will be shown as 'Pending'

What is a price protection order?

It is an option available only on BSE . While placing a market order in BSE, you can define the protection %. Protection % ensures that the actual traded price of the order does not deviate more than the defined % from the best available Price when the order hits the market . Example: If you place a Buy order at Market price for 50 shares of Axis Bank  ( price protection = 10% and the best offer price (BOP) = Rs. 1410 at the time order hits the market), then the order will get executed between Rs.1410 - Rs.1511 (1410 +141)

What is Demat hold/release?

AxisDirect links your Savings and Demat account opened with Axis Bank to your trading account for seamless transactions. During the day if you wish to sell any shares from Demat Account, you have to mark a hold on shares in your Axis bank Demat account. While placing a sell order if you have not marked security hold, then you will be asked to place a securtiy hold on the scrip. If the order placed is executed, the shares utilized will be debited from your account at the end of the day. In case the full quantity is not utilized, the security Hold marked during the day will be released at the end of the day.
